Plot Comments
The cucumbers were grown in a greenhouse for 12 days prior to being transplanted into sandy soils in a grower’s field near West Central Florida. The temperature ranged from 67 degrees in the morning to 84 degrees in the afternoon. The cucumbers were double-cropped after bell peppers and were planted at 8500 plants per acre. Drip irrigation is used on this field. The area has experienced below normal rainfall since January 1st.
